Need some opinions and some good advice.

Okay, so its about time I start thinking about what kind of rims i want to go with and also what kind of lowering springs. I am trying to get a job lined up next semester and finally making a decision on this will allow me to budget my money better seeing I'm looking to do both these mods at the same time.

First off, I want to lower my car as much as I can without having to worry too much about speed bumps and big dips. I can avoid a lot of stuff so that isn't a problem, but right at the gate of my apartment, there is a speed bump. Nothing big, just a normal one so that is my biggest worry. My next major upgrade will probably be suspension so i want a spring that be quality so i don't have to replace it, and will work well at the strip when the time comes. So suggestions on spring brands and drop would be nice.

Second is rims. Ultimately I am looking to buy true forged speed 5 rims, but I am in no position to be spending 3k on rims alone. So that is put off until probably after med school. So right now I am looking at either black saleens, or Stealth Black FR500s. Both are rims that have been overdone, but they are still sexy none the less. I want 18x9 in front and 18x10 in back. I will include a picture of both rims to compare with my sig picture.

Thats a hard one..... I like the Saleens but a lot of people will agree that they are overdone. But they still are my pick.

That thread made me want true forged for sure, but in time i will have them. But also it made me want a termi. lol. But right now i think i am learning toward Saleens. It would only be for the next few years and I like them so who cares if people think they are overdone. I couldn't fall asleep last night and from 2 till almost 4 i sat there thinking what each would look like on my car. Obsessive much? Probably.

But does anyone have advice on the lowering springs?

FR500's for sure. I would go with one that had a polished lip if anything. I think completely black is almost too much.

Im looking to spend no more than about $1300 including tires. That is what both these will cost me roughly. The only rims that I really LOVE with polished lips are high end stuff like true forged and all. To me alot of FR500s with polished lips like from american muscle look like plastic. But if i did go the route of the stealth black FR500s i have thought about taking it to my painter to have a red strip put around it to break it up a little.

Yeah, i know. He wants $1000 for them. Which is really good deal, but right now i have $800 dollars just to spend, but i planned on investing it over the next few months and hopefully at least doubling it. Plus im still undecided

You should check around for second hand wheels. Ive seen a billion sets for sale for around 600 on my local CL. I'm sure you can find some on ebay as well. i just looked and they have a hundreds. keep your eyes pealed and you can find a sweet deal. Also i was going to say that anthracite fr500's would like mad sick as well.

As much as I like the anthracite fr500's, I would start to look too much like bottlefed's car. Plus I'm going for a red and black theme inside and out. I plan on doing the inside in an anniversary edition termi style.

Black Chrome Saleens would look soo much better. Add some H&R race springs combined with some CC plates and Bilstein HD shocks and struts and you will be set.... oh then snag up some Rear lowers and replace the bushings in the upper and your set

If im saving for a whole new vehicle its gonna be an f250. Plan is build this car over the next few years. I am already commited to the project and spending the money for what i want to do.

My brother does some sort term investing with stocks and what not. We also know another guy who is huge into stocks. Used to be a CEO but now all he does is trade. He is crazy, he is basically one of the guys that can control the market. He has an account with 500k that he just dumps into low stocks, and pulls out a few weeks later making 250k+ profits.
