so i found this 03 pi motor for 300$ its complete so i'm going to pick it up, i'll prob just sell the intake to someone, thats the least of my concern

what i wanna do is obviously takae the heads off and have them ported somewhere. and have them built and everything, now my next
? is that if i have a mild (mild) portjob. done would stage 2 comp cams be necessary with the springs? or should i just do the stage ones? i'm definately going to slap longtubes in there but i'm just too knowlegable on cams and springs and valvetrain components. i obviously want the most power possible but at the same time not going overboard with "too much" cam

It's kinda hard to go overboard with too much cam using an off the shelf grind, none of them even go over 280 duration or under a 108 LSA. You'll hit your pistons before you get too much cam.

Excactly what are you shooting for here? ANd I don't port heads BTW.

i'm shooting for 320whp. in the long run. ported heads, long tubes, and the rest of the supporting bolt ons. was even looking into a mezzuire water pump, don't see much of those on here, i know dalamar had one. but 320 with a full suspension is my goal. i see that reasonable with long tubes, and the head/cam work.

i guess my real question is that if i get xe270ah, would i have to grab some springs too, because i don't want to mess anything up by going with the stock springs with those cams.. or honestly mess anything up at all.

and i thought you had posted something about porting a while back.. guess i was wrong. thanks jr

and....... i'm going to have 2 pi intakes for sale with a pi block. since i'm just going to use the heads on this one pretty quick boys.

would you just suggest the beehive springs? theirs a guy around here that has those in his gt and redlines it at 8k.. is it the springs that allow such a redline? god i've never heard something so unique as a 8k modular note..

To keep things simple, yes it's the springs. Of course cams that make power that high help, and make less than stock down low.

sounds good. i wish i could find a set of vt cams, but their not as common as they used to be. but i'll prob just go with the xe270ah with beehive springs and lope around town lol. i'm getting to excited and stoked and i don't even have the motor yet.. and its going to be a long route.
