there is no such thing as a t-45 from a 3.8 lol. They were all t-5s. But yes the t-5 will work just fine.


If I remember correctly, bell housing is the same as well, but don't quote me on that. I know they use the same clutch cable

thanks exactly what I need to know I am junking the sixer just want to see what will swap over or can be used as spare parts

The transmission will swap over. However, there is a different type of speed sensor on that transmission than the VSS with which a '94-'95 Mustang is equipped. The manual transmission-equipped 3.8L engines also used a larger flywheel than their 5.0L counterparts (164-tooth versus 157 on the 5.0L). This means that you'll need the V-8 specific bell housing; otherwise, your starter will never engage the flywheel teeth. Make sure you do as much research as you can so as to avoid any surprises when you do the swap.

You'll have to use the 6er pilot bearing too..
The v6 trans isn't as strong as the GT either. but as long as you don't beat the snot out of it you should be good
