Heres my situation; I have a 94 GT AODE that I just installed a Standard Kenne Bell 2.1l Kit on. This kit comes with a Fuel management Unit (FMU) to help make more fuel pressure under boost. So I am currently running stock injectors and pump. I went to the dyno and its running lean after 4000 rpm. Fuel pressure is only 60 psi at WOT. I only put down 220hp 260tq with my mods and 7psi. I have been told to ditch the FMU and upgrade the fuels system. I bought a Walbro 255lb High Flow pump. What is the best size of injectors? ive been told to get 42lbers, is 42 to much for my HP? My next question is Will I need A different MAF? I will be getting a tune when i get the parts I need. What does the stock MAF peg at?

My current Performance Mods:
Standard Kenne Bell 7psi
GT40 Lower Intake
70MM Throttle Body
BBK Cold Air Intake
BBK Equal Length Shortie Headers
O/R H-Pipe
Flowmaster 40's
4:10 Gears
Shift Kit

If you upgrade the injectors youll need to upgrade the MAF to one that is calibrated to that injector size. 42's are fine just get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and control how much fuel go is like that with 42 pound injectors at 7 psi your injectors will only be at like a 40% load which is perfectly exceptable. However you will need to get a new MAF that is calibrated to work with 42 pound injectors.

I had a Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator but it will not fit with the Kenne Bell, the inlet manifold hits it. So I went back to the stock regulator.

hmmm well thats part of the problem the stock regulator is garbage is designed for a stock motor. maybe shop around for one that what have clearance issues. i mean you could always go with an FMU but theyre not really all that accurate an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is the best way to go/

I think the only choice I have with the KB is the stock FPR most people say it works fine for them and it does take a boost reference.

So far I think im going with 255 Walbro High Flow pump, 42lb. injectors, 90MM Lightning MAF, and a Anderson Powerpipe. Then take it to get tuned.

ya it might be something in the computer like the timing curve or something. when you take it to get tuned the should be able to sort out your lean problem or atleast tell you how to fix it.
