Ok so im on the hunt to boost my mach1 swap gt. So here's my question, are the timing covers the same on the 01 cobra and the 04 Mach 1? i ask this casue i need to know which Vortech kit to buy i have a Mach 1 motor but dont have the shaker and the mach 1 stuff but if the motors are the same ie timing covers i will get a 01 cobra kit. Vortech has two different part numbers for the brackets but im not sure if it because of the timing covers or the shaker stuff..

Alex JFYI the 01 cobra and 03-04 mach1 covers are the same, the 96-98s and 03-04 cobras were different. The 96-99 used 3 bolt tensioner set up and 01+ used 1 bolt tensioner, also the tensioner was mounted in different locations in different years.

So a 01 cobra kit should work with my setup.

I don't see why it wouldn't .. If the only difference in the two kits is the mounting bracket then it should not be a problem. Might want to call vortech just to be 100%
