My name is Josh, i'm from Cumming, GA. I was referred here by JoshHooten. He told me there was some petty cool people on here, and hasn't let me down. I love Mustangs. I am currently driving my second which is a 1997 SVT Cobra. My first was a 1995 GT 5.0 and was my baby till some idiot hit me and totaled her out!! But things have come together since then, found my Cobra last June of 2011 for a really good price and haven't looked back. It is a 2 owner car, me being the second. Needed a little bit of TLC when i picked it up, and i definitely enjoy working on it and bring it back to life. Anyway, i been on this forum for almost a month, just wanted to make my into official since i haven't yet. Looking forward to talking mustangs with all of you!

welcome. what all is done to the car? I'm mainly interested in the suspension, because your stance is perfect!

Here is what's done so far... K&N FIPK Intake, Ford Racing 9mm wires, Motorcraft copper plugs, Brembo drilled slotted rotors, Bassani high flow cats, Bassani x-pipe, Flowmaster 40's, KYB GR-2 shocks & struts & Springs, Hurst Comp Plus Short Shifter, Oil cooler Delete, Chrome Cobra 17x9 with toyo proxes, HID headlights, Smoked Lenses with corners. Other than that, basically stock. I just bought a SCT Flash Tuner, and ordered a C&L Intake Inlet to replace my stock. Work in Progress for sure.

Welcome.

How do you like the 5.o compared to the DOHC ?

To be honest, it seemed like the 5.0 was alot easier to modify. the 96-up seem to be computer related and will trip the CEL light with any little change. But other than that, i love the DOHC so far. Alot more power!

1/4 wont do much for the look. I was thinking 1" or so. You can snatch them new off ebay for like $55.
Definitely a good bang for you buck.

Oh the ones you bolt on, then have the studs you bolt the wheel to. i had 1/4 on my 95, that's why i asked. It set them near flush with the outside fender.

Yeah. I recently put on some 1&1/4" spacers on my rear wheels and they look perfect. Keep in mind i'm only running a 275 in the rear. However, its all up to you, and for me, i like when the wheel sits a bit past the fender, just like a muscle car should.

yeah your car would look sick with 10.5's

Definitely. Sometimes i wish i had settled for 10.5s in the rear. Running a 335 would have made my day

Yeah thats what I use mine for , if you do ever get 10.5's get some nitto NT555's not 555R's just the 555'S they last forever and you could just put
them on foe the weekend's

the wheels alone are about $200 a piece... how much are the tires?
you can get sumitomo's for like $175 in 315's but they are not quite as wide or the quality as the nittos which run about
$224 but they are well worth it if you have the money to spend . You would be surprised how wide they look in person
they look much better than even the pics .
