Yep, this is my first DSLR and i've only had it for one week.

I've taken lots of pics with my old point & shoot digital camera though lol

is that a good starter camera?

I wouldn't have gotten it if my girlfriend hadnt of bought it for me. It was ~$900 and I don't have that kind of money lol.

If I were to buy one myself, I was looking at getting a Canon Rebel XSi, which is a bit more affordable. AtlanticBlue has one, and i'm sure you've seen how awesome his pictures are.

nice pics man, let me know if you wanna go out and take pics soon. where is that at, i can see Orlando in the background. and acutally i have an Rebel XS which is the base entry SLR. the XSi is replaced by the T1i and your T2i is one step above that. so yours is 2 steps above mine.
