I have a 1999 Roush Mustang and am looking at doing new cams and blower on my car. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be good. My buddy and I are going to do the work and neither of us have done a swap in a 2V. He did his on a 95 cobra, but now he is going to help me on mine. Also if anyone has any insight on what to look out for and also how long this might take, it is much appreciated. This is my first post as I just joined the forum.

On what blower, it really depends on what type of setup you prefer. Most popular will be KB, Vortech, or Procharger. Just depends on how soon you want boost to kick or if you want it to build with RPM. once you decide on what type of blower you may be interested in, it basically just comes down to getting a model that will support what type of power goals you are looking to be at (which even the most basic will usually max out a stock bottom end). As far as cams, you will read about HP, CMS, Comp, Crower, MHS, etc, all of the companies offer off the shelf grinds that will do the trick. To fully get the best potential you should get custom grind cams to your specific build. Than it just leads into a domino effect, intercooler? fuel upgrades? MAF selection? etc...

Good luck doing the cams, get a book, read and ask lots of questions. Look at my how to on the valve seals, that will give you a rough look at what your getting in to. as far as cam specs's talk to Nick at Modular Head Shop, (tell him duffy sent you, good gy and a sponsor of my car) and he will suggest the best valve/head cam combo.

I dont think he's looking to do heads, just cams/blower
which sounds about right with a stock block...heads/cams/blower will easily push limits
