Hello folks! Just picked up a 2004 Mustang GT 40th Anniversary a few weeks ago and figured I needed to join up and read up on some common issues, also a few good DIY threads. This is my first Mustang but not my first Ford nor my first Ford 4.6 v8. She's not perfect and is in need of some love (Front bumper is primered, dent in passenger side, paint peel, etc) but I only paid $2k with clean title. I also have a 2011 Taurus and a 2000 F250 turbo diesel. First 4.6 was in my 94 Tbird. Anyways, enough rambling. I mostly lurk but will try to contribute where possible!

Thanks for the welcome! Haven't had much time to get into it yet, other than a quick interior clean. In the process of remodeling a house and it's taking all my spare time. Can't wait to start on it though!

welcome aboard. just a heads up, front bumper is for a v6, clip those "vent" looking pieces with a set of dikes and it will look much better. it should still have the mounting slots for the fog lights if you want them.

It does. I noticed that when I got it and checked everything when I got home (harness, mounts, etc). Thought about picking up a cobra front bumper for it but I'm not Mustang savy and haven't check on if I need more than the bumper. On a side note, I traded the wheels with a guy from a local facebook page for a set of black ZR Saleen reps. 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the back. Think they'll set it off a little more.

Anyways, thanks again for the warm welcomes and hopefully I can start a small build/restore thread soon. Got to finish remodeling my house first though (happy wife, happy life)!
