Hello everyone. I just picked up a 96 laser red gt 100% stock with 95K miles. Only thing that has been changed is the plugs and wires. I almost hate to change anything bc its so cool to find a untouched mustang, I mean it still has a stock air filter and catback. Been a long time since I have seen ford mufflers on a mustang. I will be upgrading the suspension to some MM parts. Going to be running c/o in front and a PM3L in back with torque arm springs and panhard bar. I am leaving the motor stock as I need to get more seat time at autox and high speed auto x and just concentrate on driving. I think it will be a great car to improve my driving skills but be reliable. It will also be a good car to let my GF, sons and friends try at the track. Eventually I would like to do an explorer 4.6 swap. That will be a good project for my sons to learn on.
I also have a 87 fox that I have had since 89, it is stroked and blown and mostly MM suspension. I used it for my first high speed autox and and it scard the crap out of me so thats why im leaving the 96 stock to work my way up. I also have a Mazdaspeed 6 with bolt ons and a tune as my daily summer driver, a 2000 F150 sport with bolt ons and a tune and a Mercury Tracer LTS(1.8 DOHC) for winter.
I am glad I found this wonderful site, Jesse
