Name is Mat, and I'm currently living in Northern NJ. Former Marine Infantry, now installing home theater and CCTV/security systems. Picked up my 4th Mustang a couple months ago. It's a 1994 GT 5.0 5 speed car, and I've been busy as hell on the weekends trying to get it up to par ever since. Had a lot of little mechanical issues, and suspension was shot. I've done new shocks, struts, rear UCA's and LCA's, reinstalled the improperly installed Ram clutch(previous owner), new clutch cable, new throw out bearing, new belt, new battery, new temp sending unit, new thermostat, fixed speaker wiring issues, added hood pins to the aftermarket hood, and cleaned up the engine bay a little. Still have a lot to do before I can start fixing the body work it needs from previous owner getting side swiped by a deer. Still have new gauges to put in so I can replace the improperly installed white face overlays(previous owner), and a new radiator air deflector I'll probably put on tomorrow after work. Then I'll probably be doing a new set of tires and a windshield since this one has a crack. Also looking into replacing the set of Underdrive Pulleys put on by the previous owner, since fixing the temperature gauge has shown me the car runs on the high side of normal. But finding a stock water pump pulley is proving to be difficult. Just need the pulley, it has a new water pump. Well that's about it. Been 5 years since my last Mustang, and even with the issues, feels good to be in a Mustang again. Other Mustangs were a '99 Cammed V6 that I loved, '98 Stock GT that I sold before really doing anything with or getting to enjoy it, and an '89 5.0 Supercharged Hatch. How the engine bay looked before... How it looks after a little neatening up. Still have to replace the plugs, wires, and coil, but at least they're not wrapped around the intake tube anymore.
Welcome! I am also from the Central/Northern NJ area. You should come check out the local cars and coffee at some point this summer. I can message you the details. -All nice rides by the way, g36 monkey had a red cammed v6 new edge also. Welcome to the forums! Great place for info and great folks here too.
Welcome! I am also in Northern NJ as well. I am glad to see another fellow deep forest green mustang in this state! Hopefully I get to see you around sometime.
Nice! Always love more pushrods on here . Gonna find a spoiler before painting the hood/fender? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Good progress so far. And man that 99 makes me miss mine before the wreck O well, the retarded junkyard dog look has its own merit somewhere lol Welcome aboard
Thanks guys! I've been on a lot of Mustang Forums over the years, but don't know how I missed this one. I'm liking it though. Some nice Mustangs on here! Yes please do. Might have to check it out one of these days. I'm driving on Route 23, 46, and 80 everyday for work. If you're around that area you'll probably see me. Yea I plan on getting another spoiler. The original one was rotted by the screw holes and rattling around in the wind. The first thing I did was take it off. Don't know how the previous owner drove around with it like that. Was a matter of time before it would've fallen off. Thank you! There was a guy there taking pictures for our Mustang Club's dyno day, and he got some damn good shots. I cut that figure 8 slide really close to the edge. haha
