New to the site but not to forums. I'm 27, from Robbinsville, NC and I work in IT. I'm currently in the middle of helping a friend (read: I'm doing 97% of the work since he doesn't really know what he's doing) swap the drivetrain and many other parts from a wrecked '94 GT manual into his '95 GT with an automatic that has been sitting for nearly a decade and has seen better days. I'm a Dodge truck guy normally (which should explain the name), but have a soft spot for the 5.0s so I volunteered to help get the thing back on it's feet. I'll post a build thread later since the car will eventually get a lot of more upgrades but we just wanted to get it running again so we could swap the MS Pro in and get used to tuning it on the stock engine before the built one goes in. A picture from the other day for now:

Welcome to the community! There's plenty of help here when you need it the more you get involved with that swap. Cool Dakota too is it an R/T? My friend had one a few years ago, single cab and black I'll try to dig up a pic of it. It was a monster.

It had a different intake and cam with an SCT tuner, long tubes and a built exhaust with a Cherry Bomb extreme muffler dumped. It was LOUD.

Thanks! The swap is mostly done now, the pedals are done and the original engine is out; was going to throw the interior back together yesterday when I discovered the mouse we thought was long gone was still living in there. Set traps yesterday and we're gonna evict him before we put the new carpet back in...

Yeah, it's an R/T; mostly just bolt-ons and weight reduction for now.

That looks familiar... Was he on the forums? Mine's just a small cam (Mopar R/T+10), 1.7RRs, 4BBL M1 intake with the 2BBL and a 55x52mm F&B billet TB, shorties with single exhaust/Gibson mufflers, shift kit, GM pressure senor upgrade, SCT by FlyinRyan, MSD coil, and probably some other crap I'm forgetting. Lots of weight reduction too, started out at ~4200 and it's down to 3850 without me and 1/8th a tank in it.

I'm not sure if he was or not honestly, he got rid of it about 3-4 years ago and it changed owners about 6 times until it was destroyed by a pine tree this past winter...people just can't take care of stuff. It was a very cool truck though. I really wish we had more pictures and videos of it, it was lowered even more than the pictures above when he sold it, almost undrivably low lol.

That sucks. I just park mine in winter, with the torque the things make and absolutely no weight over the rears tires even a little bit of snow/ice makes them stupidly slide happy.
