Hello!
Been reading a lot in here for a while now, and i thought that its about time that i introduced myself.
Im 26 years old, and like it said in topic, im from the cold north.
I spend my daytime in a workshop as a truck mechanic for Volvo, and the evenings i spend working on old American cars (Mostly old Mustangs and Camaros).
My first V8 car was an early bird (1967 Firebird 400"). Stroked engine, edelbrock top end kit and some other goodies made a fun first car!
After the Firebird i was all hooked on muscle cars. My second car was a 1970 Camaro RS, and the car after that was an 1969 Camaro.
All of the cars where bought as wrecks, and i restored them together with my father (he got his own custom shop).
So im pretty familiar with V8's!
About two years ago i bought my first Mustang. My father works mainly on old Mustangs, so we thought that it would be funny to build something different on a Mustang.
We decided to build an Eleanor (1967 Fastback). I know that its not so different in the US, but over here they are pretty rare.
We ended up building the car on a SN95 Chassie (bought a 1995 GT convertible in pretty ruff condition that served as a donor car).
The project is about 85% done. Car has been put together, and i've driven about 5 miles in it, but then i tore it down for paint and to fix the last stuff.
The reason that its been together is because we have pretty strict laws about cars in Sweden, and you have to register the car as a "new" car when you rebuild this much.
Some pictures for you!
If you are interested i can put up a project thread aswell.
