I would also like to know a little more about these. They seem they would be nice for a budget build

Not legal for pollution controlled cars... That just took out a lot of potential buyers.

Damn looks like a nice set but if it isn't legal then it will take a lot of potential buyers out of the loop.

Yeah one reason they are not as expensive is no emissions ports = less machine work.

Casting is probably more basic/cheap etc.

They show the flow numbers at the bottom, or is that not what your talking about?

i meant third party... where they dont have a good reason to fudge them a little bit

however, from what they show there, they seem to be on par with 165cc afr's (AFR's flowing more ofcourse)
I still feel they are a bit on the small side...

I would like to see that to. The first thing i did was compare them to the afr's I think these could be a really nice set. If i had the money i would love to be a test bunny for them. I dont believe their dyno but anything is better than stock. especially for the price.

Hooray. I could afford them and use them, no emissions. But I have a set of ported Vic Jr's. 2.05 valves FTW.

nice, ebrock makes some good stuff so I'd be willing to bet they are a pretty good working head for a mild application.

You don't make any sense. A cylinder head does not dictate what type of camshaft to use. The springs dictate the size of camshaft, not whether it's hydraulic or roller, or any of that. I guarantee you they are aiming at TFS twisted wedge's section of the 5.0 market, with a easy to bolt on, solid head that will perform to the common 5.0 owners expectations. These aren't any victor jr's thats for sure but they will do the job on a HCI car

Of course the head does not determine the type of cam you use, the spring does and that is what I was saying. Hydraulic roller cams need more spring/seat pressure which in turn means you have to run a stiffer spring! That is why there are different versions of the 170cc Twisted Wedge head, one for hydraulic and one for hydraulic roller. These heads have have SPRINGS designed for a HYDRAULIC FLAT TAPPET cam. The cam dictates what spring you need. You can cut down on the height of the valve spring to increase the pressure but in turn it will limit you even for on max lift. I was thinking about these heads but by the time you buy some upgraded springs with enough pressure for hydraulic roller, might as well pay a little extra and buy a set of AFRs.

SEAT PRESSURE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!
