so i just replaced my fuel pump. went with a walbro 255 high pressure because the car was acting like the fuel pump wasn't pumping much and checking at the rail it didnt have very much pressure. the car still wouldn't start or run. started trouble shooting stuff. the coil checked out ignition switch also. checked the ignition control module and it checked out but when i started probing lines the hall effect signal wasn't sending signal. so i replaced the dizzy. ok still no dice. now im pissed and about to put my old dizzy back in when i spin the rotor to find it is 90% seized up. so i realize it needs the dizzy no matter what before it leads to a big ass mess. so for shits and giggles i rigged up an old school oil filled coil with some alligator clips and a bolt to make my female plug boot into a male. guess what she fired instantly. so wtf? my 3 month old msd coil is garbage but reads just fine? so i get it warrantied out and the new one works. so again for giggles i test resistance on the bad coil and the new one and the difference is .2 ohms. that's a little odd? any way car runs now. but i noticed on the way home the car surges slightly under light acceleration. what would cause that?
