New look for the FR500's

With the want for a different look for the cobra i put the FR500s up for sale to find a new set of wheels.

After a few weeks of not selling them and deciding that if i had to pick 1 mustang specific wheel that was my fav. It would be the FR500s. And at this point im kinda stuck with them without a buyer

With that said i came up with the idea to paint them 1 solid color, no more polished lip...
Not to original i know but i want to try somthing/ a color i have not seen on a FR500s yet. Paint and Aircraft paint stripper is in the mail. My wheels are damn near perfect i hope i don't regret this...

Plans to run 295-35-17 Kumho XS in the Rear and a cheap 245-45 or 255-45 front tire...

Kinda when the wheels started turning in my head to do mine, I loved how yours came out with out a polished lip so im going to give it a try. Something alone the lines of Det Riots car is what im going for as far as color. Have a picture in my head, so i just hope it pans out well once i stripe and paint the wheels

The Gold on the white looks good on JB's car but i think just like a wingless SN you have to have the right stance and color combo to pull it off tastefully. Some told me to go with a gold wheel on mine but i think the Green/Gold would look horrible IMO. Was wanting black but the black is played out. Every other car on the road around here has black wheels.



LoL, Well Paint stripper should be here in just a few days, Ill atleast try to get pictures up of the stripper at work and see what these FR500s look like under all this shinny stuff

Paint is also on the way. Ill try to do my best laying the paint down and take some nice up close pics and post em up as soon as i can! Then its a waiting game to scrape up the cash to get tires and get them on the car,,

With the G/F in the car and the trunk full of food coming back from the store one night they started hitting really bad on the inside rubbing the upper IRS bracket. Still had my back seats out aswell and prob a half a tank of gas. With just me and a full tank it never hit that bad.

Anyways i want to be able to drive the car to Mustang Week this year if possible and i don't want to worrie about cutting a tires. Right now there stuffed under a buddys 00Gt and they look sick and do not rub a thing...

Odds are ill be trying out the 295-35 XS's in the rear with the new look on the FR500s. And im going to tint the windows since i finally got the A/C blowing ice cold and then get a new water pump on it and ill be ready to mustang week!

G/F is 130Lbs lol had more weight in food then her in the trunk, shes is the smallest one that ever rides in the car so if it his with her and a few things in the trunk it would be even worse with one of my 250-300lb buddies in the car.

Im shooting for mustang week if i can get everything on the to do list done and i can budget for Food Gas etc... "Might" drive up wed night after work crash at the hotel and be ready for Thrusday as its the most important day to me ( Drag Racin )

I think the FR's look really good as they sit now on your car but it is always nice to be different from the crowd.
