Hi all. Picked up a 2001 GT Convertible late last fall. My budget midlife crisis car, as I tell my wife. Searched for many weeks, but ended up with a nice one... Single-family owned, 54k fair-weather miles, only minor mods (Flowmaster cat-back, cold-air intake). Look forward to spending some of my rare free time here on the forums as I do a little more work to it. Getting rid of that 4x4 stance being at the top of my list!
Here's quick pic I had snapped. Yeah, setting/background is lousy. Will get some better ones now that the weather is nice and it's out on a regular basis.

Thanks guys. You all have got some really nice rides on here. I'm not looking to do much - lowering springs, shocks/struts, staggered wheel setup. Then maybe 3.73's.

Just being a clean sn95 it stands out a bit in my area. Most are at the stage of being teenager cars that are at the end of their life. But I guess at 13+ yrs old, that's the way it goes.

joekd - My only reference for gears was driving my buddies fox-body cars back in the early 90's. A couple with 3.73s and one with 4.10s. The 4.10s really stood out in that 1st gear seemed essentially useless - just too low. The 3.73s seemed to be a nice compromise, and were still a noticeable difference from stock 3.27. OTOH, we're talking two different platforms, different engines, transmissions, etc... So I can't say it might not be different. In addition, I don't have any concerns over top gear rpm, as I don't use my car for long trips and such. And maybe using the top 4 gears more often isn't the worst thing. The 4.10s were definitely fun :D Nice Charger, BTW

I had a fox also (89 5.0/5 sp) and went 3.55 in it and always regretted not going more aggressive, 4.10's are just fine even for every day driving in the SN95

Thanks, Charger is just my sensible family car :)

I paid $6,500. I should add though, it was 5+hrs away. So a few extra expenses... Day off from work, cheapy rental car to drive down, U-haul truck/trailer to bring it back, gas, etc...

In the end, still worth it, though. Any that I see near the condition or miles are still a few grand more. The seller was moving south very soon, didn't want to bring it, and... It's a convertible for sale in the northeast in November. So not exactly a car everyone's jumping all over :)
