[Steeda Snakes]

My wife and I used to be very active in the Mustang scene in our area, but haven't been for the past five years or so. We sold most of our stangs; ('03 DSG Cobra, '01 TB Cobra, '99 Limited Edition GT Vert, '98 Cobra [a daily driver], previously sold '90 GT, '97 coupe and '66 Fastback 2+2), but kept my '98 Steeda Cobra #015 and her '03 Saleen S281SC Speedster. They have been sitting in the garage for past 2 years or so, just getting them out and trying to enjoy them again. Below is a pic and info on the Steeda. I will try and post up a pic of the wife's Saleen in the next day or so.

Dyno-tuning by Steeda Autosports resulted in 458 rear wheel horsepower and 390 rear wheel torque. This is approximately 540 horsepower and 460 torque at the crank.

Car was featured in the August 1999 issue of HOT ROD magazine.

Car was awarded Best Steeda Cruiser by Dario Orlando, owner of Steeda Autosports in the 1st Annual Steeda Stampede, competing against over 150 other Steeda Mustangs. Also placed Best of Show, First place and Second Place in numerous other car shows.

Just a little south of you in Victoria. The wife and I used to spend some time with the SVT Cobra Club out of HTown. I had the Steeda in one of their annual shows, back in '06, I think. The '03 and '01 Cobras were bought new at Gullo in Conroe, almost bought a sweet '03 Roush vert at the Planet Ford on I-45 North. The car was 2 years old at the time, brand new, never titled! They only wanted to take a couple of grand off the sticker price! I made them a fair cash/no trade-in offer, but they wouldn't deal anymore! Didnt need the car, the wife just liked it, so I took a shot at it! What part of HTown are you located in?
