Welcome aboard!

I admire a fast GTP....back during my Fast and Furious days, a lot of GTPs roamed these neck of the woods with Zoomer at ZZP or whatever it's called 30 min. away, but if you want to have real fun, a rear wheel drive car is where it's at. And I don't know what you consider to be a weak bottom end but these blocks can handle 475whp (I've been a witness to this). I wouldn't consider it LS1 territory per say but it's no slouch. It's mainly the NPI parts that are the restriction. Throw a 150 shot on top of your increased compression and you can run great numbers!

Yep, Zoomer/ZZP is still around. They ran mid 8's in their turbo GTP drag car, thing is nuts! I was told these bottom ends only really take 450whp, and even at that you'll be playing with fire. I was thinking of sprayinga 150 shot on the car, but really don't want to blow it up lol. My plans are to get a wideband on this thing and see where the AFR is at before doing anything.

Chris,

Comes down to the tune and tuner when your pushing these motors. My buddy who is pushing 475 was tuned by a great tuner and also my engine builder so he knows his stuff, but I wouldn't be too optimistic with just anyone, do some homework on your local tuners. The 150 shot is easy with these cars, and mustangs love juice. There are guys spraying 175 on a stock block over on svtp. You just need to get the precautionary parts, tune and replace fuel pump and spark plugs. I had my mind set on spraying 150 with my stock block before I decided to go kb. It's doable!
