Well this weekend I spent at my friends new performance shop that is dedicated to Mod Motors!!! Here are some cool pics I thought i'd show of what hes working on...

The pics are not the greatest b/c they are from my cell phone...

Ya thats right its a 2004 Turbo Lightning back with a 150shot nitrous system....few more nuts and bolts and this truck will be ready to rock and roll!!!

Another project hes working on is a 1996 Mustang GT Conv. that he bought for cheap but the motor had a knock in it and we tore it down and we now know where the knock came from...

as you can see the #8 rod ground down its own bearing to nothing and at the sametime it wore the crank down toware it is a nce papaer weight now. Hes going to rebuild the car's motor and put a rebuilt auto tranny in it since the car only has 86k miles on it.

The pans are to resell the car....which should sell pretty easily.

Well did some work on the Lightning and found out that the valves were tapping the pistons. We found out why when we got the cam spec card from the owner and the cams are set at .620" lift on turbo motor which is way over kill. So were having a custom set made for the truck and as soon as they come in we will install and then get this bad boy tuned and see what can turn out.

The reason we did not know what cams were in the truck is because the guy bought the truck with all this done to it and it was brought to us with a slight tick., and now we know what that is.

I personally have never heard of a Mod Motor cam with that much lift!!
