So many dums-dums.

Your C5 looks killer, steedastang. Do you have anything planned for it yet?

The Corvette is a damn good "Purpose Built" machine. No one can argue the bang for the buck there.
Scalpel My Ass!! Handz, a Z06 would make you soil yourself.

GT
Umm.....Building a fox is bang for the buck. Buying a vette is paying 20g more than you could have.

I paid $13.8k for it. It literally has ONE small scratch on the front end. Other than that its perfect. I still love my stang but the vette is so much more capable and yes; it is a bang for the buck. I could buy a terminator but would have to shell out about $6k+ more for one close to the shape my vette is in.....

Back on topic... Good looking Vette. I'd like to have one some day and not all old guys are driving them now a days, I see a lot of younger guys getting them. Insurance is so much cheaper for a Vette compared to a mustang also, thanks to them older guys.

Thanks. You sure are right about insurance. $50 a month for full coverage, towing, and rental car! Before i inquired i was expecting $100+ per month. Talk about being surprised.

For the record i am 27. Only problem with buying the vette is my wife begged for a Lexus RX350 and won! I dont care for the styling of it but it rides nice and the engine is very smooth.

Thanks a bunch. I dont have anything planned yet besides cleaning every nook and cranny. It has a package on it from corvette cconcepts called the 400SS package. It added intake, exhaust, fuel, timing, and ignition parts to up the horsepower to a advertised 400 at the crank. If i do anything it night be a LS3 intake or a fast intake if i can get it cheap. I may do a cam as well and londtubes w/highflow cats. If i do any of these i would do them al at once. They kind of support each other and to get the most out of the mods you have to take care of all ends. It should lay down about 390-400 to the ground with a good tune after those mods. In the mean time i am just going to get used to it the way it is. I must say the torque is flat out amazing! i can pass people in 6th when going 70 mph at 1500 rpm! Its crazy.

My wife describes the vette's aceleration as smooth and refined. She thinks the stang is pissed off at the world and a monster:). I guess i will have a car to fit any mood i may be in. hahaha!

what's there to clean? Car looks immaculate. Congrats on your acquisition. I hope to own a late C4-early C5 before I'm married with kids, lifelong Ford man but I've always liked Corvettes.

You can to compare them Hell they did it in a mustang mag. You just have to compare it to somthing of equal value like the roush or steeda stangs, or even better the gt500's since they are the same range. I do agree you cant compare cars that are 20g+ difference in price range.
