Well, I have been dealing with a rough idle problem for the last few months... I had believed it was my MAF reading wrong, but I now think it may be something else.

As I was sitting and waiting for my GF to come outside, I was just idling watching the rpm's watching to see how frequent the rpm and volatge drops were.

Well as I watched, the car suddenly bogged and died, it didn't just cut off immediately it was more of a "wind down". the rpms dropped to about 300 and then shut off.

I waited a few seconds, then turned the key again and it fired right back up. No hesitation, no struggle, just started and idled fine.

Any ideas?

The codes I know I have are:
172
176
212
332

Thanks everyone.

Weak Coils? Vacuum Leak? ...Unplug you MAF and see if the Stang runs better or the same....How does the Car Drive? Is it only when the Stang does not have a load on it? or just Idle only in Neutral or Park?

Ive cleaned the maf twice, getting a good one soon. It drives fine except for when I go over about 3.5k RPMs. At that point I seem to lose power and the engine appears to get louder (like its struggling to breathe). White95 thinks that it may be flooding doing to the Lean Codes. Hoping the MAF will take care of that.

Always rough at idle. When it died it was in neutral (5speed). I also have a coil on the way, should get here Thursday. Plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are less than 400 miles old.

While ...I hope that take care of that...I just put a new MAF in 2 weeks ago..from similar problems..I cleaned it "Very Carefully"...ran the car with it unpluged..Somewhat better...But the bottom line it was Weak and was very hard to figure out...after canceling out Fuel issues...I knew it had to be an Air problem...so had the extra cash..Bought a new one..every code that it was kicking out ...was gone..car is running perfect.
