I just purchased a silver 95 gt from the original owner (73 years old) with 61,800 miles. Its a 5-speed, all power, cloth interior.
Mods installed:
Ford 6lb supercharger (Powerdyne) kit installed in 1998
3.55 gears
Hurst shifter
Eibach Pro springs
Koni yellow shocks and struts
subframes
poly front kit with strut mounts
Mac shorties, factory catted h-pipe, flowmaster cat back
99 cobra wheels

Needs:
brake work
exhaust leak at header
basically cleaned and tuned up, and tires

Car set for about 1 year and started frequently and driven little.
Paid 4500.00, dont think I got hurt any. He autocrossed it and drove running errands but thats basically it.
I've heard these cars dont like upgrades because of the computer, it drives great. I'll be looking to upgrade heads, cam and intake, and fuel injectors. Anyone have ideas of good or bad. I've already contacted 928 Motorsports about the Powerdyne, sounds like a decent company, any personal dealings with them here?

Thanks for any info you guys can help me with.

Where do you want to go with this car and how much are you willing to spend?

As far as upgrades go, the cars are perfectly fine. They don't cooperate to aftermarket cams WITHOUT tuning as well as foxes do. With a tune, the car is just as easy to mod as a foxbody.

First, a 73 year old was autocrossing a supercharged mustang!!???
OK, first I'd get rid of that Powerdyne before it grenades, but on a Vortech, Paxton, or Procharger if you want to stay SC.
As far as the computer reacting to mods I believe the previous poster covered that. Get a tune and you can do whatever you want to that car. I personally like AFR heads. Have fun with it!

yea definately update that supercharger since its 10 years old and a lot better applications now. A vortec or procharger would be great and im not sure but u might only need the unit and not the whole kit. Again im not sure....

you'll need the whole kit as no two are designed the same when your talking about switching manufactures

i dont think this guy bought a supercharged mustang just to replace the supercharger right away, if you want some more power start off by puttung on a 10 psi pulley on , your car has low miles on it thats a big plus when buying a car i think you got a good deal, do you have any pics of the car? post them up ( by putting a nice h/c/i package on your car with a blower you will put down some real good power)

That is asking for trouble on a Powerdyne, that is unless it is an XB Powerdyne - but I highly doubt it.

I'll get pics up here soon.

Yeah, i've known the guy for about 10 of those years and he autox'd every month. He wasnt the fastest but he was having fun. Thats all that mattered.

I've talked to 928 Motorsports, I will probably give them a try since the Powerdyne is there and paid for. I dont want more than 9lbs at the most (I got that pulley with the car also). I'm going for their Racing rebuild for 650.00 for the time being. Plans are for a new motor, 306 or 331 with ported gt40 heads and not sure on the intake or cam yet. I already have the heads finished with cobra rockers. not looking for big HP but a fun and usable car for autox, opentrack, and drag events. Hopefully take it to Mustang week at Myrtle beach next year.

How about 24lb injectors, would they work pretty well?

if it has i blower on it a would hope that it doesnt have stock injectors, if so i would put 42's on if you plan on running 9 psi,

The best I can tell they are factory injectors. This whole "Sn's don accept mods well" has got me worried about changing anything else. Man, my fox was easy to work on.

The exhaust is easy, it has Mac shorties and factory catted h-pipe soon to be Dr Gas x-pipe with Magnaflow catback.
Other than needing a tuneup and brake job it runs great. Cobra brakes will also be installed with cobra r's and 275/40/17.
