Hello everyone my name is John im new to mustangs and im in a rut with this gt ,I just bought it has been sitting in my salvage yard for 2 years before i took it home..i would start her up once every week and drive her around the yard,Just to keep the fluids moving ,So i wouldn't run into any problems later on.

The car ran good and strong until one day
i was washing the car to load it up on the flat bed to
get her home .Out of the blue the engine started to shake a bit i couldnt find anything wrong with the engine at the time .But i did notice it lost power and while the idle was fine and it drove good has long as you didnt get on her hard,I thought it was something to do with the dist.i took her home and got her tagged and inssured i daily drove her for 4 months with the shaking staying the same .I got under her one day and found out the Harmonic Balancer weight had come lose and needed to be replaced asap !

i changed it out with a brand new one but i couldnt for the life of me figer out the timing the marks are hard to see and every shop i take it to tells me the timing is correct is there a mustang shop in socal that can help me ? KEEP IN MIND I WAS A HONDA PERSON but im loving my blue oval !!

Here's a list of things i've already replaced hoping it would fix my problem. It also pings when i use 87 grade fuel so i stick to 91 octane

plugs
wires
msd coil
msd dist
msd ignition box
removed all four cats
flowmaster 44's
cleaned AFM
it doesnt show any codes either

I hope you didn't do any permanent damage by driving around with the HB FUBAR.
Put the stock ingition stuff back on and take the MSD crap off.
The AFM is called a MAF on these cars.
What brand HB did you put on? I went with a stock replacement and the marks were in the right place.
Have you adjusted the timing at all?
welcome to the site and post up pics when you can.

if it was vibrating that bad the bearings are probably worn... put a good oil pressure gauge on it and keep a eye on it
