These are the cms 2.5 blower cams. Will be going with the cms stg 2 600 lift valve springs and just use their degree service.
Also perfect timing to throw in the billet oil pump gears.
Sounds like youre going to have a pretty solid setup at the end of the day. Any plans to pull the heads and port them?
Yes, but I can only spend a good amount of money on the car once a year and this winter I am doing the cams and building the 8.8 and some new suspension stuff. Next year I'm going to pray that my stock t45 holds out long enough tell next winter as I plan on sending it off for the 700hp build on it. Then maybe heads lol
Oh I was meaning you pull them and port them yourself. Youve got a plan though. What ever happened with the turbo route?
Oh you know I never thought about porting them myself I guess I can look into that... I really dont feel like pulling the heads off though yet lol. As for the turbo it just about happend, I had the blower and everything sold but I backed out. I guess I just like the simplicity of the blower right now, no oil feed or return lines. I think I will try to see what the blower cams do and have fun with it. I could always switch things up later.
I do have a question for you though... what tool did you use to compress your springs? I'm looking at the copper colored one on ebay right now that can do 4 springs at a time. Also would I be able to just put the pistons to TDC and change out two springs at a time to keep the valves from dropping, I've heard that is an option.
According to Jim "owner of Cushman Motorsports" these are the biggest cams I can run without needing valve reliefs so I should be good there.Yes to all of the above lol. I've got the same type of tool but mine is bare aluminum. My very first cam swap, that's how I did the springs. Remove the cams, roll that cylinder to tdc, bolt on the tool and do the two spring for that cylinder.

I've never done it on a Ford, but I have a tool to hook up an air line to the spark plug hole and pressurize the cylinder. Did valve springs on my CTS-V that way and the valves never even budged. I would trust that long before just rolling the motor to TDC for each cylinder.
