Not sure what to expect on any gains. This will actually make me lose a some boost however I plan to switch over to a blow thru maf and smaller pulley along with a re-tune.

Yeah I couldn't resist. The high heat going into the engine had to be holding it back quite a bit. As of now I am just going intercooled with a maxflow race bypass valve recirculated as Im still a draw thru maf. However plans are to weld in a slot style maf, go open atmospheric on the bypass valve and drop a couple pulley sizes with a re-tune.
This is a cxracing intercooler with a universal pipe kit. Fitment is ehhhhhhhh, but it comes with the territory.

The intercooler looks sick btw...what are your plans for the crash bar/front bumper? Get a tubular one?

Thanks man should have some pics up tomorrow. Worked on it a bit more lastnight. Finding a hose that would slip over the maxflow bpv was a pain but I found a way to make it work. As for the crash bar I got a buddy that owns a metal fab shop so he will probably end up making me one.

Thanks, Depends on what you consider a budget. I think for what I've done and spent on a bone stock 2v sn95 in a matter of a year and half is hard to beat.
Took the car to the track. Ran the best it ever has. With just an intercooler upgrade and even a 1lb of boost decrease I managed to kick off a 7.7sec and 1.8 60fter 1/8th mile run. In the past I ran a 7.9 cutting 1.7 60fters. So I know if I get myself some better set of tires I will be running even faster.

Also, I will get some shots of the intercooler installed. It came out really nice.
Although intercooling isn't mandatory, as far as intercooled Vortech 2v's go, you can't do it for less money than nick did
And glad to see the car is running strong! Pretty impressive to get a PR while going intercooled without a tune and smaller pulley

Oh i dont doubt that, there is always a way to save coin, im just saying putting a blower on anything usually kills any budget lol.

You have a point, however if you do a "build your own kit" you can get a full supercharger kit pretty darn cheap. In fact if I know now what I didnt know when I was hunting for a blower, I would have only bought the blower and blower bracket. The rest can be easily built yourself....(which I ended up doing anyway lol) Could have saved quite a bit.

Point taken....did you find them used? People around here have a love affair with there used parts unless they are oem. High priced, there is always ebay, little leary about that but hmmm...

Pretty much everything on my car is used besides a few odds and ends. Blower kit was purchased used. I built my own anderson powerpipe, those normally run $270 I built mine for 80 bucks. Bought my maxflow bypass valve used for $100. Full intercooler kit was $300. Hit up the corral.net forums. Hard to find better deals elsewhere. I did buy my 42lb seimen deka injectors used on ebay but they were only $115 lol and a $50 lightning maf with the flange. Blower with brackts can be had for around 6 to 800 bucks. In other words I could have had an intercooled blower for less than $1500 if I would have sourced everything myself. Even cheaper if you just keep it non intercooled.

Oh and every super ive ever put on has been intercooled. I wont do it any other way, gotta keep the cool

Got some snaps of my intercooler install. I haven't really seen many other charged 2vs run the piping this way. I had to fab and weld a few things but it turned out great!

Looks great man! I def like the "s" shaped pipe into the fender. Where are you gonna stick your maf when you go blow thru? You have a good straight stretch to stick it? Also where is you iac hose ran to?
