Since I'm going standalone with going cop maybe I won't have that issue then.

Fingers crossed...........

When you gonna try to fix the issue and hit the dyno again??

Megasquirt with LS2 coils. You wont get a stronger spark than that.

Those are some pretty good numbers. When you had it dyno'd last time, was it using the same pulley?

You intercooled and increased compression, are those the only differences between then and now?
Intercooled, higher compression and a smaller pulley. The higher compression is actually hurting me a little now, But will help after I upgrade the ignition. If I switched over to e85 the power will really skyrocket as he could get really aggressive with the timing.

Oh yeah, gotta have enough spark to overcome that extra cylinder pressure. Youll get it sorted out though, and love it in the end. Have you had any street time with it yet?

Drove it around a little in KS before we loaded it in the trailer. I can sure feel the power difference but most definitely feel the low end tq increase from the higher compression. So far I am very pleased with it.

Didn't Mike (@97stanger) have a COP swap with a spark booster or something? Hopefully he'll chime in since he has a 600+ hp 2v with a COP setup

I would like more info on this.... I cant decide If I want to try the boos-a-spark box or just go back to plug wires (would hate to have to do that though)

Yeah Mike was running a msd box with the red monster cop swap iirc. I am also running the red monster cop swap with no msd box on 9lbs Intercooled with no spark issues and plugs gapped at .030 iirc.

I think it's the higher compression and more boost causing the spark blowout. I'm going to switch the plugs to the br7ef. I think they are pregapped to .020 or .022 and are a stage colder than my tr6s.

Did some engine bay changes. Black cold piping and ditched the IAC valve.

How's it working without the IAC?!? I've been seriously thinking about it.

Works better than I thought it would tbh. Only thing I have to do is hold the rpm above 1k for like 10 seconds on complete cold start but after that I dont even notice it not being there. Power steering doesnt bog it or neither does my braking.

The hell with it I say lol.

Really though, thats not too bad for completely removing a sensor. Im curious to see what it does when coming down from a wot pull. The iac normally plays catch up when you let off completely and its coming down, without it, it may stall.

Im just curious to see what you say about it.

Whens the updated tune happening, and track time?

I've driven it a bit and did a few wot pulls with success but the track will prove if it will want to stall as i'm pretty hard on the brakes after the 1/8th shoot....... As of now i'm going to switch out the plugs to a stage colder and gap them a bit closer. I also have a flow charger box I'm going to hook up to the coil harness and see if I can get a hotter spark. It will be awhile tell I get another tune. My tuner is over 4hrs away. Car is making pretty good power conservatively so I might wait until I get a set of cams and ported heads on before my re-tune. The car really feels alot stronger with even my street tune. The first test and tune is this weekend so we will see what it puts down for numbers.
