My friend just picked up a 240 with an infinti q45. It's a dohc 4.5l v8 and the thing is badass. It puts you in the seat pretty good lol. It sounds great too. hopefully we'll be goin down to the track soon to see what kind of numbers it will put out. I've never seen a swap like that most of them just boost it or sr20 :dontknow: anyone know about what these things can do? It has a 350z tranny. And everything else is mostly stock. Just thought I'd share lol.

I ran him tonight once I got off work. We did a dig run which he pulled me probaly 1-2 cars by the end of second. Then we did two roll runs on the highway, I kept up a little better then. His car has the 350z trans. So it's a close ration 6 spd. I was in second until he was about in fifth lmao. I kept up alot better then I expected too! Were goin to the junkyard tommorow so hopefully I'll get a few pics.

I was completely expecting to get bent over, and take it without lube. Riding in it, the thing really throws you in the seat. Nothing like my car at all. I think the guy told him it had 4.10's as well, on top of the 6spd. His gears are increadibly short and I think that is what is messing him up. I'm pretty sure he shifted twice while I was in second. I'll see if there is a way we can get a video of us running. I ran a 14.7 he deffinatly should be able to at least pull a low 13. Lol, your not crazy in anyway, that is exactly what I expected too man. Hopefully I'll get some pics of it tommorrow.

Yea That's what I told him! I suggested something like 3.55's maybe? He's pulling the rear out to put something stronger with a better limited slip/locker or w/e it's called I can't remember what he said he wanted lol But he'll be in there soon anyway.

I really like the old 240's (maybe because of its rounded body) and i've driven many newer Q's and they have some power so that sounds like a nice combo and will catch a few people off guard for sure.
