I got my nitrous system install fininshed up last night. Went and got the bottle filled this morning, then went and got a tank full of premium, put the 50 jets in Took it out on the road in front of my house (country road) rolled up to 3500 RPM in second gear, took a breath, prayed it wouldn't blow up, floored it, pushed that button and WHAM how cool is nitrous!!!??? I was actually kind of dissappointed with the 50, but I was just being safe, I put the 100 jets in when I got home and man what a rush. Nitrous is sick, tommorow I'm going to get a timing light so I can try the 150 jets, but I dont think my poor clutch will hold it. I'm addicted, now I wanna build a forged motor so i can spray like 300 horse lol.

Cool stuff... I'm actually getting ready to start installing a kit in mine..... Since I've now got a daily driver and the mustang has officially become more of a play toy..

hopefully thats gonna happen for me too. Its easier to keep it clean and maintained and do big projects when you have another set of wheels.

Timing is at 10*, I put in Autolite 103's which are one heat range colder than stock. I also run premium fuel of course. I started with the 50 jets had a buddy push the button and made sure it was all workin right in the driveway, then went out and went for it.

Nice, I'd like to see some pictures. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of nitrous yet. I've heard some good and some bad. I want to take a ride in a nitrous mustang to see how it feels.

Anyways, I'm glad you like it. Definitely want to see pictures.

Ill post some tonight. My stang isn't that money though, its going to be a race car primarily so I haven't been focused on making it look nice. The only draw back I can see to nitrous is the bottle runs out and its a bummer when it does. But its a hoot when you push that button and your engine roars to life and your haulin ass.

yeah N2O is fun, but if your going to tackle that 150 shot, you had better do a couple more things.
Put another step colder plug in and gap them to .032-.035. Since you are still on the stock timing,
you had better pull at least 2* out. Are you still running the stock fuel pump? If so, you had better
upgrade cuz if you go lean.........BOOOOOOOOM

Not saying you will go lean, but a bigger pump is some added insurance.

for every 50hp pull 2* after 100 hp shot. 1-2 heat ranges colder. possibly iridium plugs 44$ and always use premium 93 octane or more. id invest in a air/fuel meter to better tune your jets.

Yeah im AWARE of the things you need to do. Anyone thats using this stuff should know the safety precautions you need to take. yeah I have the big pump already, and yeah i have colder plugs, i haven't tried the 150 shot because my clutch is shot, and i need to get a timing light to pull some out. Thank you for your concern.

regardless, you can do allt he stuff listed about to try and give yourself a safety net but there is still that random factor that nitrous has. Plus you really wont see the full effect of nitrous inless you just get a tune for it. People are amazing at how they can just slap on nitrous and run with it; but you could be missing out on 30-50 hp easy from just a tune (and a good tuner could pull more)

i hit 250 hp all motor and with some tuning i hit 289 hp then on a 100 shot nitrous i hit 356 hp and 490 tq so whatever you are getting get it tuned :)

This might sound like a stupid question but how does one go about tuning for nitrous?

it's a combination of programming spark, fuel, timing and everything else that a tuner does to make sure you gain the max out of your setup.
