Hi I have a 2000 mustang GT that won't idle at all when cold. It starts well but shuts off right after. When the car is hot, i have no problem at all... Any ideas ? The car doesnt have any mods except for a no muffler exhaust.

Thanks.

my car has done the same thing for as long as ive had it, and its only during bad weather or really cold days, then out of no where it will pick up idle and be normal again, even after the pi swap, cams.. etc it still has the same exact problem. lol

well yeah mine will do it time to time when its cold too, it seems like the computer wont get a command right away or something, or something triggers something to make it just kinda kick on and start idling. its hard to explain.

could have a small vacuume leak. When the engine gets up to temp gaskets/crack could swell up enough and seal to make the problem go away. Also if its continously at the same spot every time, you may have an electrical issue ie PCM could be pulling down a circuit when it gets to a certain point. I have see that several times at work.
