So I have been reading alot and I always keep seeing people say they have no isolators, what are the benefits? Does it change ride quality? Will it squeak? Thanks

Okay so duct tape, lol... That makes it not squeak? Classy... Well reason I ask is right now I have 19's on the car but and looking to go to maybe a 17 inch wheel and I'm concerned that I won't have the same stance, and yes my car is lowered but I just don't want a huge gap between the bottom of the wheel well and top of tire

Well I have new ISO's but like I said I'm curious if my gap will get huge with a smaller wheel or will the cars weight make it sit like it does now?

1. there is a suspension subforum.
2. the isos main purpose is prevent metal to metal. removing them relieves almost .5 inch compressed. to the naked eye thats not anything substantial. Duct tape does work but it chaffs away.

good luck.

if you are going with a smaller wheel, you will have a taller sidewall on your new wheels, rather than a 19" wheel with a small side wall. so the fender to tire gap will be close to the same.. amiright?

I have no rear iso's , And wrapped jut the top and bottom coil in black electrical tape "the springs are also black" just to keep it from being metal on metal .
I have never heard one squeak out of the suspension or had any problems .

No point to it IMO, but it's your choice. I'm not running them in the bottom rears because they were old.. but they will get replaced soon. Just seems like a half assed way to do it.

I did it for another .4 to .5 drop, springs will only give you so much drop if you truly want to go low you will have to take them out or get some coil overs .

Coilovers is my plan lol. But, then again comfort is fairly high on my priorities seeing as my car is already running on blown shocks and I DD my car. No need for me to make it worse.

Very true I have ford c springs with 3/4 coil cut and no isos in the rear and it rides like stock , there not stiff like the eibachs .
Ford recommends cutting the dead coil on the rear springs if you want the car to drop a little more .

This, if you buy the same diameter tire the stance wont change.

i don't run iso's. The rear springs make a slight noise when turning into a driveway, but nothing else..

Depends on the width of the tire, 245/45/17, 275/40/17, etc

Here, have fun plugging in numbers, just pay attention that the old and new diameter are about the same

I can hear the springs sometimes going over speedbumps, but other then that nothing. No squeaks or anything.
