Does anybody have a clip of a 95 5.0 with shorty headers and a off road x-pipe and no pipes? I was thinking of cutting my flomasters off and just leaving it.

I have a clip of my catco h that has 2 high flow cats on it and no pipes. It sounded sick but the drone really wore on me when I had to drive on the highway. My trip back and forth to work was fine though

it sounds awesome from the outside, but it gets old after a few minutes of driving. i had an O/R H-pipe though, it could be different with your X.

I did that on my fox body, 2 5/8 shorty header, 2 1/2 h pipe and nothing else, no muffelrs or turn downs

It's crazy loud (makes harley's seem quiet) and you do start to get sick of it inside the car on any ride longer then 15 mins. also expect the interior to start to have that nice exhaust smell (even though I never drove without both windows open)

But the sound is soooo good, racecar mode all the way

i have the stock h pipe and headers, and my stock cat back rusted off with the previous owner, i just left it when i bought it, it sounds pretty good from the outside but the drone on the inside is extremely bad, and was old within a week, i just got my spintech flow tubes and prostreets in the mail, waiting on the tails to get here, then hollowing out the cats till i can get a dr gas x, bottom line is no mufflers=horrible drone

Also there are supports behind the mufflers. If you take the mufflers off and don't replace them the weight of the exhaust hanging on the heads/flanges. Plus it sounds like hell, like some jacked up redneck hillbilly goat humping truck.

I'm running close to what your asking. shortys, o/r h, with pypes violator muffs. the pypes muffs are flow through, so it's like running straight pipes all the way back. no drone anytime. quiet at idle, can be a little blatty at about 3000 rpm under acceleration. loud as hell when you want them to be loud as hell (standing on the gas) My son told me he could hear the car over 1/2 mile away through 4th gear.
I'll try to get a clip of it tonight

thanks for the offer. It's got the o/r h on it now and I have a bbk catted h for when I have to get sniffed.
The exhaust only pops at first start in the morning for only a minute, and after it's been sitting for about an hour which is when the vid was taken.
