No start

So my car wont start and im pissed as you can imagine. I started having issues with the starter a little while back and yesterday it was fine until i went to pick up my daughter then it didnt do anything. So i went through the basics checking all the connections and then started bypassing things and test the power to the starter. Its getting power and i still get nothing. Im starting to think that it has to do with the security system. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as usual. I need to get this car going this weekend so i can make my job interview monday.

Is it trying to turn over, or is it just doing nothing at all?

If it's not doing anything at all, then the security system is NOT to blame. On some ford vehicles, the PATS system will disable the starter, but on our mustangs, it just disables the fuel pump. If there was something wrong with the security system, the car would still try and turn over, but wouldn't start because there's no fuel.

If you've checked the battery and the connections look good, I'd guess that your starter took a shit.

It's a brand new starter so it's not that

If you're sure it's not that, then maybe it's something electrical. It could be possible that the new one died? Have you hooked it up to a power source directly to see if it works? Bad solenoid?

I had a brand new starter completely explode. It could have failed

I doubt it's bad I just bought it yesterday after gettin a defective one. I'd have to have some pretty crappy luck to get 2 bad ones in a row

If it had power to the starter it should crank . Mine ****ed up like 3 days later

There's something wrong with your electrical then.

So I have now replaced my battery cause I had the old one checked and it was bad and now all I'm gettin is a click and still no crank wtf

Make sure the new battery is fully charged.
