Noisey fuel rails?

has anyone had noisey fuel rails on their 5.0? does it mean anything? also is there anything special about replacing them due to all the high pressure lines? thanks guys :thumbsup:

they make a ticking noise like tick tick tick tick tick ALL THE TIME. its not coming from the valve cover area as i thought its directly out of the fuel rails lol my dad and i did the screw driver test(hes old school lol) and sure enough tick tick tick tick tick tick i would think there should be no sound from them?

I'm not sure how to tell but you can run some seafoam through them and see if it makes a difference. Just don't put any in your oil 1/3 in the full tank and the other 2/3 through the vac line to the intake. It's worth a shot.

Thanks man, I am getting it out of the shop on Friday so I can gauge the badassedness! I am super stoked it's been in the shop forever. I can't wait!!! It'll feel like Christmas and my Birthday all rolled into one! :eek:ccasion1:

Fuel rails have no moving parts, and cannot make noise, it's something else. Injectors, valvetrain, exhaust leak, etc...

good point. and yea we know the noise isnt coming from the heads. so im guessing its a bad injector
