So I completed by 3.8 to 5.0 swap. I swapped the motor ~(120k), tranny, rear, cluster, harness, computer, fuel tank and pump, new motor mounts, new shocks and struts, new control arms, new rotors/pads, and the motor started right up. I'm messing around with the timing as it really needs to be advanced (atleast I think, need a timing light). Right now, the car is running great. Only problem is that at idle I'm pulsing between 400 to 800, not a consistent pulse as one would see with an IAC problem, but think it is more of a timing issue, this pulse is worse with any type of load (heater on, fan on, ect), the concerning noise is right before the pulse dives to almost a stall I hear that pinging type noise, which might be that normal noise one hears when your about to stall out, but my computer catches the dive in rpms and seems to correct it for a few seconds, then it repeats...Ideas?

On a greater note, the thing is a f'ing beast. It really, REALLY, feels like it's got more than stock HP ratings. not sure if previous owner had anything done to the internals, but it pulls like a monster....very happy with
