npi intake manifold question

I was wondering if all npi manifolds are the same regardless of the vehicle. For example will a f150 npi manifold be the same as my 96 mustang's. Reason being I really need to fix my car since the crossover pipe blew and I have very little cash currently to do so. I can find npi manifolds for little to nothing from various vehicles so I'm going with a quick cheap replacement to get the car back on the road. Any help or knowledge on this would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would hav to go on Rock Auto or something like that to see if they list the same part #'s for the different vehicles beween say a pick up, mustang and a crown vic. I would look to just get an aluminum cross over NPI if thats what you really want.

i believe 150s have a long runner intake best suited to low end torque and low rpms

Usually the trucks are different, for the obvious reasons, low rpm power. The 5.0 is going in the f150 next year, but it'll be tweaked for the trucks needs.

Good info to know. I'm just gonna buy SRT's manifold and skip the guessing game. I actually hand some guy yesterday come by my house wanting to buy my car. Apparently one of my neighbors told him it has been sitting for a while. Its only been a month!

You could probably find an NPI intake some where at a local salvage off a crown vic or town car. I know if you can find a salvaged police car anywhere you should be able to pick it up for fairly cheap.
