For those who haven't read any of my posts b4, I kinda like to do things different.
Here's where I started:
IMG_0528.jpg

then it looked like this:

It looked good like this, but it wasn't the "original" statement that I wanted to make. The week I posted that pic on here I had a couple guys say "hey our stangs could be twins except for..."
Not what I was going for.

Doubt I'm going to have that problem now.

Being different for the sake of being different is stupid, do what looks best, not because someone else does that.Bullits, saleens and S281 spoilers are constantly used because they look good, not many things look good on our car, thus why most people have similar visual mods. Just saying, but I like the car, those wheels remind me of oval track racers lol.

love! +1 to you, i seriously considered getting something similar to your wheels for my car but couldn't make an educated decision on if they would look good on my car. What size tires do you have stuffed on the back?

Ditto on the oval track racer look. It actually doesn't look horrfic, but its still kinda meh to me.

Thanx. I doubted that anyone else would "get it". I wasn't being different for the sake of being different, but I felt like I had a unique point of view that I had to express...
enough of the "feely" stuff, here's the specs:
Front:
Tires are 215/60-15s on 15x7 wheels w/ 4.25" backspacing. Front coils have been chopped 1.5 coils on bottom and 1.25 coils on top. SOMEHOW the car rides great. I know it shouldn't. Maybe b/c the front wheels/tires are so light.
Rear:
Tires are 295/50-15s on 15x8s w/ 4" backspacing. Rear coils have 2 coils cut, but that's hard to measure b/c I also have adjustable "J" shaped (also known as weightjacker) LCAs that are adjusted to their max preload to keep the fenders off the tires. They still rub when I pull into an uphill driveway, but it's not THAT bad. I'm thinking of putting a set of stock spring under the rear and then jacking the LCAs all the way down to see how that changes things.

This is actually EXACTLY the response I was going for. If I'd told you I was going to put these wheels on my car you'd have told me I was crazy! (maybe not your personally, b/c I don't know you...) A lot of ppl told me I was crazy. In fact, the guy @ Summit Racing told me the rear wheels wouldn't fit on my car (which, in fairness, they kinda don't!), I need to send him a picture.

I wanted to post pix and have ppl say: I wouldn't have done it, but it doesn't look as bad as I'd thought it would.
kinda a messed up goal, eh?

The thing that I REALLY hate about this thread is the '00 Cobra R valence that mysteriously found its way onto the S197.

Not bad, its a different wheel choice but I like it it does have a old school look to it.
