oil pan questions

Can I use a crown vic oil pan and pickup tube on a mark8 motor in my mustang

Its still in the car I want to seal this motor up before I pull the old one out so its just a faster r&r

sort-of.

the crown vic motor is a 2v engine. the mark 8 is a 4v engine. the 4v engines ran with a larger oil-pick up. Although the 2v may bolt up to it, it would limit the oil run through the engine.

the oil pan should fit.

conclusion: get a 4v oil pick up tube and use the crown vic oil pan.

I have pan and pick up for 96-98 Cobra if you need one, 440-476-4114then you KNOW it works... dont mismatch P/U and pan without checking clearance....
