Oil pump fafuq?

I'm getting ready to Change the oil pump on my 94. I ordered a Melling pickup tube and sealed power oil pump from lmr and the fit seems odd. The mounting bracket for the pickup is obstructing the relief valve. So I went to oreilly and grabbed a Melling pump. And it is obstructed. Thoughts?

Thats fine. The relief valve doesnt relieve the pressure out of the pump.
