oil question

sup guys i have a 94 gt 5.slow and i was wondering if there is any benefit to running a straight sae40 oil? ive heard that i can get better gas miliage(sp) and better oil pressure..wat u guys think?

I think just run what the engine was designed for.

Ya, 5w-30 or 10w-30. Why would you want to run something that thick? I still dont know why people buy 20w-50 for ford motors that call for 5w-20. Just buy what it calls for.

run what the sticker under the hood / manual calls for. sae40 will not give you better mileage nor is it better for the engine
