On the 95 gt 5.0 "don't know about other 5.0's" the pvc valve is at the back of the intake. well under it "in the intake" is a metal mesh screen that is called a oil separator screen it will get gunk build up on it that makes it hard to pull out if you have a lot of miles on the car. I used a dent puller slide hammer with a sheet metal screw in the end of it. I screwed it into the screen and gently kept tapping it till it came out. "if you have as much build up as mine take your time so as not to pull the screw out of the screen" if this gets clogged your new pvc valve don't work and your engine builds pressure up and blows oil vapors out through the valve cover tube into the tube going from your MAF to the throttle body and thats were a lot of that oily build up comes from in your throttle body and intake. you may also have problem with the oil dipstick being pushed out a few inches its from all the back pressure inside the engine after a hard run. Look down your plastic intake tube just behind the MAF where that other tube runs into it and if it looks oily that may be the problem. I had to get a new screen at the ford dealer so if you plan to do this you may want to buy the new screen first and a new pvc grommet if its old. I forgot to tell you you will have to pull the grommet to get it out. hope this can help someone.
