and my buddy's dad who paints cars says to wet sand it with 1500-2000 grit and then high speed buff it and it'll be like glass.

yea man thats right. orange peel is little ripples in the paint from spraying. when you wet sand it takes the high spots off and makes the paint flat like a mirror. if your doing it on a factory clearcoat be real careful because the clear is real thin, if you go through you'll have to get it repainted. you'll need a flexable sanding block because our cars are so round.you can get by without the block with not as good results. and STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGES with the sand paper and buffer.

do not try wetsanding. orange pee can be removed with a heavy compound. this is not a do it yourself kind of job.

I have never seen a factory 1994-1998 with a noticable amount of orange peel. If your car has been resprayed, and the orange peel is serious, there might not be much you can do, even if you buff some of it out. Simply because orange peel is little tiny mountains of paint, and knocking them down is taking down what little paint you already have on the car.
