Again, the car looks awesome! Everything flows well together. That hood even looks amazing and I haven't liked that hood on any other mustang yet.
What cage is that? I'm looking into a cage soon. (Yeah, that's right a sissy vert with a cage!)
AutoPower roll bar with diagonal brace from Livermore Performance
I was wondering how there cages were. Everyone sells them, lol. Did they ship it to you mostly welded or did you have a shop/yourself weld it all together. Do you have any pictures of a butt joint so I can see the quality of the fitment?
Neither rear bar is removable correct?
I don't mean to turn the thread into answers micheals questions thread, sorry.
Hey this is my thread, you can ask me about my car as much as you want! LOL
Really happy with the roll bar. I chose the option to have the diagonal and horizontal bars removable, because I thought I would have my kids riding back there. Found that was'nt the case. So I actually did a rear seat delete. So to answer your question, you can buy the bar with or without the removable option.
The only welding you may choose to do is where it mounts to the car, though it gives you the option just to bolt it down. THe bar comes shipped fully assembled (welded) and somewhat poorly painted (primed more like) black. Shipping marks all over it. So I had it powdercoated black for about $150. It turned out perfect.
Installation was kind of easy. I thought the front seats would have needed to be removed, but did not. That saved a bunch of time. The hardest part was "guessing" where to drill the holes for the rear angled posts. They go through the plastic arm rest area of the back seat. But, turned out great!
I will try to get some decent shots of the welds and such.
