whats wrong with my GT... Here goes...

The problem that I'm having is that sometimes when I don't need to press the throttle completely down, and only want to accelerate slighty, the car completey ****s it's pants and has no acceleration. thats the easyiest way to say it. it like gurgles weird too. The only way to fix it is to press the pedal down farther to almost full throttle then it really gets up or tap the brakes and let on the throttle again, then its fine...

Ryan suggested it may be a bad TPS, Haynes said the rear brakes being bad could do this...

my car has one leaky injector, could that cause this. Also could it be fuel related. im sure my filter is nasty after 16 years probably. Its gonna get replaced anyways...

Could it be the custom tune?

so many things...

id start with the tps, my car had one poop out and drove like shit, easiest way to check for it is to plug in a scanner and watch the live data and slowly press down the pedal and look for a smooth voltage change from under 1v to about 5 volts at wot, or just replace it, their pretty cheap and grab a $5 fuel filter while your there, your car will thank you

Throwing money at the car when you don't know what the problem is, is the worst idea ever.

You have a tuner right? Do you have a laptop? If so DATALOG AND FIND THE PROBLEM YOURSELF INSTEAD OF SPENDING $$$$$$$$ AT A SHOP.

Custom tune? Lol. I'll get one when the time calls Haha
the times going to come quick when your car stalls everytime you put the clutch in or come to a stop. Good luck.

well hopefully ill be doing the install at the tuners shop so we can get it tuned right then. Ive always been a bigger fan of custom tunes rather than a handheld tuner.

idk..... If i need one ill get it

handheld tuners are way better than a chip if that's what you're referring to. I have an 87 octane economy tune, 91 economy tune, and a 91 performance tune all at the press of a few buttons. And I can adjust the idle rpm etc to my liking as well as figure out issues with the ability of datalogging. Just saying it's an invaluable tool.

and you can get one for cheap.. I got mine for $50 and it was locked but since I got a dyno tune, my tuner unlocked it for free...

do simple things, one you could change the fuel filter if you havent already done that. That will cause a bog. also pull your MAF sensor out and get some MAF cleaner from your local parts store and clean the prongs off. Dirt can accumulate on these and could cause a misreading in air/fuel ratio. Also this will not throw a code as well. Its worth a shot for around $15 depending on what filter you use could be cheaper. I would go wix if available.
