I wanna start thinking about doing head work to my GT. What my idea was going to be buying brand new or good used PI heads bare. Have them ported and all that good stuff. And finally adding a nice pair of nice loopy cams. What would be the cheaper route to go with this? Trying to see what advice I can get from everyone. I wanted to add cams to the heads in the car now but I figure, why not go the extra step and do them up nice.

Can you guide in the right direction with the trick flows?

yeah i think unported they flow higher then stage 2 port job, I think it is 245 intake and i don't know the exhaust. I believe there is a thread floating around somewhere with the flow numbers. I think I also read that the valves are angled differently so you don't have to fly cut the pistons with a big cam

don't buy bare heads, you'll screw yourself in the long run having to buy valves and all the little parts.
call your local engine builder and talk to them about having the heads ported. people love to drop names from magazine ads but there are loads of guys that can do it probably cheaper local, that being said talk to DSS if you need to go w/ a big name shop. I've been buying a lot of stuff from them lately and i've been happy w/ it.

I bet there will be quite a few people that swap their ported heads out for the new trick flow ones. So you could just wait and try to pick up some good used ported heads.
