i say if you love the car drive it till it blows up and have a beautiful build motor to put right in her when she blows. Cl all day has are motors for cheap thats another option too. :)

Miles are just a number.

Subaru's and tacoma's last like 300,000....
If you took care of it, you shouldnt have a hard time selling it, unless someone's really picky.

I don't give a flip what the miles are, but a LOT of people think anything with over 100K is old and worn. It all depends on who you can market it to. Personally, if a car is solid, it doesn't matter on miles because even lowish mile cars (my 150k stang) can have had a rough life.

It's called maintanence(sp? its 2am here), look at the diesels that have 600k-1mil miles in a 3/4-1ton truck. Or the hondas that run forever. My explorer has 258k miles on it and runs great. You also have to take into consideration the year, if it seems like a shit ton in a short amount of time it may be, but if your car is 10 years old(2002) and has 100k miles on it, that's just 10k miles a year. That really isn't all that bad, at least not to me.

I'm cumming up on 300K miles and like mentened above- Maintenance. I know that all my fluids are fresh and when installed, differential, transmission, oil, power steering, radiator, brake, and the first four mentioned are synthetic. I bath in Seafoam, using it as intake/induction cleaning every three months. I use copper plugs, inspect them regularly. I change my fuel filter every oil change. I do my very best to illiminate ANY single noise, sqeek, thump, bang, anything what so ever.
Fluids I use: Engine, Mobil1 ES. Differential, Amsoil 90W + Ford additive, transmission, Mobil1 auto trans fluid. Power Steering, Mobil1 auto trans fluid.

My car had WELL over 208K when I bought it. ODO didnt work.

But everything wears out. Bushings, transmission, engine motor, water-P/S-A/C pumps. Ive basically replaced or rebuilt EVERYTHING except the front brakes, the rear control arms, and the wiper motor.

Same here, except the engine. Rebuilt tranny.
Replaced a whole shit load of parts, so many that it's crazy to try and list. like I said, if it makes a noise, it's repaired.
