I have a standard 2.1l Kenne Bell Blower with gt40 lower intake that is getting ready to be installed. Im debating on doing heads and a cam also at this time. I think I would go with the Steeda #19 Cam, My question is what would be the best option for heads with this cam and blower? Any input is welcome, Im just kind of kicking around ideas right now.

Do you have money for heads and cam? How much? That kind of affects the answer.

See now theres another question. How much HP are you wanting to make? That will effect the answers too. If you wanna 600+HP motor then save up for a crate. If under 500 hp is good enough then you might be ok with the stock motor. Depending of course on what kind of shape the motor is in.

i would say, instead of buying an off the shelf cam, spend the extra money and have a custom cam made for your combo, to make the most of the heads and the Blower... as for the heads, check out www.enginekits.com they're not name brand heads, but they have some good flowing heads and are really, REALLY reasonably priced(and they're aluminum)... or you could even try out Patriot Performance's new 5.0L heads, i had a flow sheet for them, and on a stock bore 5.0L they flowed GREAT! and they're fully assembled and under $900.

Heck, even if you picked up a nice set of GT40's and had them ported and a nice blower cam you could hit 500 to the wheels.

But if you have the cash I would get alu heads (trickflow, AFR, Eld) and a custom or a Anderson ford cam (b-31, b-21).

I would be happy with 350-400 horse, I think Im going to bolt the blower and intake on as is, and get an engine on the side to start building up. Thanks for your input guys.

To me that sounds like the best idea. When the old one goes put in a better one that can handle a lata power. But in the mean time you can still have fun with just the blower.

Make sure your exicting motor is healthy enough for boost.
