So, im getting some new rims today and i dont think they will fit my 245-45-17's rims. The rims are currently on 275/40/17, but they aren't in perfect condition. Is that a problem? Im hoping they dont rub anywhere also. :dunno: I can roll around on theses 275's till i get some more money to get some new tires.

huh? 275/40/17s will fit all the way around as long as they are on the proper size rims.

Im getting new rims, (local buy) The rims come with tires already on them.

I currently have 245's all around on my mustang. The new rims have 275 around, but 2 tires are bald and the other two have alittle amount of tread left on them. My 245's are basically brand new and i was going to get the new rims taken off and mounted on my 245's.

500 post on here lol. Great.

I just contacted the guy and wheels are 17.9
He said they will fit 245's, but my question is now.
What other sizes can theses rims fit? I;ll make a run by the auto place and get some used good tires that are wider than the 245's.

I had 245's on the front of my car for a while on a 9 inch rim, so you should be ok....but you can run 275's :)

Just trying to get the sizes i can run just in case the scrap yard is out of one size.

the wider the better, and the tire shop will tell you if they can mount them to your rim size.

I guess that's true. I haven't had any problems with Discount Tire Co.
Just don't get retarted with it!
If they refer to the tires as "them big round thingies"
that's not a good sign.

the tire is way to small for the wheel, the wheel sticks out a 1/4 or so of an inch, you need at least a 255+
