First not sure, but i dont think theres much of a difference between the 2v and 4v radiators.. So that given, i have a 96 and i belive ive read that 1997s have larger radiators. If this is correct, how much trouble would it be to fit an aftermarket 97 rad into my car?
I was looking to go Moshimoto(know its cheap but still bigger and better than stock), but if you guys think that is just too crappy then ill get the fluidine one.

I just basically need to know this, because i have the rest of the parts picked out and know where it is all going to go/fit...

Well you were talking about putting a 97 rad in your car and the 03 was better then that, hence why i suggested it.

im looking at installing an 03 rad if i can find an aluminum one. mishimoto's leak reputably. i have seen firsthand that stock terminator rad withstand heat from the stock setup and higher HP heat soak. i do not believe im wanting to pay fluidynes price.

Win i was saying i wanted to use an aftermarket 97 rad since the 97 rad is larger then the 96... was wondering how much of a pain itl be to get to fit?
But thank you, i understand and will look into an 03 rad, or aftermarket one.. since they might be even bigger

There was a silent recall of the 96's and the 97's received an upgraded rad and fan assembly (96 was retrofitted with 97 up stuff if you complained). Not sure it was a better rad itself but the fan assembly was much improved. You should see if you had the recall done so you know if you are ordering a 96 or 97 up system.

The Mishimoto and even Fluidyne rads can crack and leak if used with the stock mounts(too rigid) . So if you go with an aftermarket rad get the mishimoto flexible mounts to prevent that. I grabbed some for my fluidyne.

'96 and some '97 Mustangs had the bottom 5 rows of tubes closed off when the manufacturer installed the tanks. They are all the same size, but obviously did not perform the same. If you are concerned with overheating, get the Fluidyne...stock radiators are ok if you just want to get by... :dontknow:

Buy a 03/04 cobra radiator..... Fitment is dead on.

BTW... the sizing is not the same from the 96 and 97 rads...they are different sizes.. hense why you need to make adjustments to get them to fit.

Thank you for adding to my thinking.. Because you said that, I will be doing exactly that and buying those mounts... a thang you for that.

Yes I know moshimota or w/e is supposed to leak.. All aftermarket ones are claimed to unless you spend like 800 on one.Of course like stated above people are using the stock mounts.. for 250 bucks i dont expect much else.. But ive heard plenty of people happy with them, and if it comes down to it ill get a Fluidyne..

Im so pissed at my phone right now.. I am about to throw it out the window.. I erased the entire OS and the goddamn thing wont update!!!! The store better be able to fix this shit if i cant get it done tonight..
