Will a overdrive crank pulley damage the alternator?

I haven't seen anyone have issues. I have an IW 10% OD with a 200amp alt but don't have enough miles on the setup to give you personal experience as of yet.

My tuner is telling me that if I dont run a underdrive alternator pulley with my 10 percent od pulley my alternator is going to fly apart?

If your tuner is saying that I would honestly take your car elsewhere for any tuning. There is nothing wrong with running a 10-15% overdrive crank pulley with your alternator. Yes it will speed up the drive to accessories but no harm.

That was my thought as well I wanted to have my car back for a car cruise next weekend but the pulley is back ordered and it doesn't look like it's going to be done
Kinda sucks since I only got to drive it twice this year before I broke a piston in the motor and this is usually the last event of the year I can make it to before work gets crazy busy.

man thats rough, sounds like you have some pretty bad luck. Who's balancer are you going with? Innovators West?

Yes it's a I.W. and they are going to make the alt pulley also. He also said that the GT alternator pulley is a different offset than the cobra one and that's why he's having trouble getting one.
